Men’s Soccer blanks Penn State Mont Alto for first win of the season
MONT ALTO, Pa. --- Carlow University men’s soccer recorded a 3-0 shutout over Penn State Mont Alto on the road Tuesday night.

MONT ALTO, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer recorded a 3-0 shutout over Penn State Mont Alto on the road Tuesday night.
Three different Celtics scored, and the Carlow defense allowed just five shots (three on goal) the entire game for the Lions (0-2).
Carlow landed its first goal before halftime when Devan Donskoy (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks HS East) found Logan Punako (Johnstown, Pa./Richland HS) on a corner kick at 40'.
The Celtics added the final two goals later in the second half. Blake Emge (Waynesboro, Pa./Pitt Johnstown) landed a penalty kick at 79' and Donskoy picked up another assist, this time for Hunter Brady (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York HS), in the 87th minute.
Dustin Harrier (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny HS) earned his first collegiate clean sheet with three stops in 90 minutes in net.
The Celtics outshot the Lions 25-5 and held a 6-4 corner kick advantage.
Goalkeeper Jawad Malik made eight saves for Mont Alto.
Carlow faces a long break before traveling to Waynesburg for an 8 p.m. match Sept. 16.
