Hess earns second USCAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University senior outside hitter Rebecca Hess earned USCAA Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University senior outside hitter Rebecca Hess earned USCAA Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.

It is the second time this season she received the distinction.

Hess (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) landed her 1,000th career kill in a 3-0 loss to Salem University on the road Sept. 16. She averaged 3.93 kills/set and 4.71 digs/set in nonconference action this week.

The Celtics travel to Houghton (N.Y.) for a tri-match Sept. 27.
