Women’s Basketball ends season with a win on Senior Day
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women’s basketball concluded its season with a 55-46 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win over Hilber College Saturday.

Lexi Ewig (Claysville, Pa./McGuffey HS) shot 9 for 10 from the foul line to lead the Celtics with 13 points and a game-high seven assists. Emari Stinnette (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown HS) added 12 points, and Alexis Toth (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette HS) contributed 11.
The Hawks (4-21, 4-12 AMCC) went up 3-2 early in the first before Carlow (6-18, 6-10 AMCC) regained the lead. The Celtics led until two minutes remained in the quarter, when a jumper put Hilbert up, 11-10. A jumper from senior Julia Ogrodowski (Fredericktown, Pa./Bethlehem Center HS) gave Carlow the advantage, and a last-second three-pointer from Audry Clingenpeel (Coolville, Ohio/Federal Hocking HS) saw the Celtics ahead 15-11 heading into the second.
Carlow held the Hawks scoreless for four minutes and gained a five point lead, which the Celtics maintained until halftime.
Carlow pushed its lead to 10 midway through the third quarter and stayed out in front of Hilbert until the end of regulation.
The Celtics forced 22 Hawks turnovers and outscored Hilbert 24-18 in the paint and 16-8 off the bench.
Hilbert outrebounded Carlow, 48-34.
Kayla Johnson led the Hawks with a game-high 19 points. Learsi Sabala added a double-double 13 points and 13 rebounds.
