CINCINNATI, Ohio --- Carlow University women's basketball concluded the Lauren Hill Classic with a game against Trine (Ind.) University at Mount Saint Joseph University Saturday.
The Celtics lost a lopsided 112-21 contest to the Thunder (3-1), with five players missing from the box score due to illness or injury.
Alexis Toth (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette HS) scored a third of Carlow's points and picked up two steals.
Trine shot 51.2 percent (42 for 82) from the field and outrebounded Carlow, 64-25. The Thunder outscored the Celtics 59-4 off the bench.
Erin Sherwood scored 22 points for Trine, and four other players recorded double figures in the win.
Carlow makes a quick trip to Carnegie Mellon University for a 2 p.m. game Nov. 25.
