Cold-shooting night for Women’s Basketball against Waynesburg
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women’s basketball lost an 81-56 contest to visiting Waynesburg University at Donahue Pavilion Tuesday night.

Senior Emari Stinnette (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown HS) led Carlow with a game-high 20 points. Gia Rosensteel (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem HS) added 10 points off the bench, and Jada Drummond (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter School) went 7 for 8 at the foul line and dished out three assists.
The Yellow Jackets led 24-13 after the first quarter, and neither team shot very well in the second quarter. The Celtics running into a bit of foul trouble, affording Waynesburg six points at the line.
The Jackets took a 15-point lead into halftime and doubled their advantage after a 26-12 third quarter where they shot 58.8 percent (10 for 17) from the field.
Carlow outscored Waynesburg 20-16 in the fourth quarter, recording over half of their points at the foul line, but it was not enough to overcome the early deficit.
The Celtics shot 62.5 percent (15 for 24) from the foul line on the night. The Jackets outrebounded Carlow 53-46 and outscored the Celtics 29-12 off the bench.
Kara McFadden led the Jackets with 15 points and five assists, and Clara-Paige Miller added 13 points. Kalista Friday pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds and dished out a game-high eight assists.
The Celtics travel to Mount St. Joseph for the Lauren Hill Classic Nov. 21 and 22.
