Women’s Basketball faces Grove City in season opener

GROVE CITY, Pa. --- Carlow University women's basketball opened the 2025-26 season with a game at Grove City College Friday night.
The Celtics fell to the Wolverines, 84-31. Grove City held the Celtics to single-digit points in the final three quarters.
Emari Stinnette (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown HS) and Gia Rosensteel (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Salem HS) scored six points apiece, and Rosensteel grabbed eight rebounds in the effort.
Carlow kept it close to start the game before a 15-4 run midway through the quarter saw Grove City ahead, 26-12.
The Wolverines outscored Carlow 18-2 in the second quarter to take a 30-point lead into halftime.
Grove City continued to pile on the points in the second half, outscoring the Celtics 40-17.
Hasley Reese led the Wolverines with a double-double 17 points and 10 rebounds, while three other players scored double figure points.
The Celtics host Fifth Ave. foe Chatham University for the 7 p.m. home opener at Oakland Catholic High School Tuesday.
