NAIA, USCAA announce Women’s Basketball end of season awards
PITTSBURGH --- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) both announced women’s basketball end of year academic and athletic awards earlier this month.

The USCAA announced its end of season awards at the national championship in Richmond, Va. March 12.
Megan Ost earned First Team All-American accolades, and Sydney Carr was named a Second Team All-American.
Ost, who scored her 1,000th career point early in the season, led the Celtics by averaging a double-double 12.8 rebounds and 12.6 points per game. She led the USCAA with 47 blocks on the year.
Ost was second in the USCAA in rebounds per game and 13th in scoring per game.
Carr led the team with an average 13.6 points and 3.4 assists per game. She was second on the team only to Ost with an average 6.0 rebounds per game.
She ranked in the top-10 of the USCAA in scoring and assists per game.
The Celtics had six named to the USCAA All-Academic Team.
All student-athletes with 24 or more credits on their USCAA transcripts (at the start of the season) are eligible for the National All-Academic Team. Overall (cumulative) grade point averages must be 3.50 (on a 4.00-point system) or greater to earn the distinction.

Carlow University saw six named 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athletes.
The 2023 list featured 873 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
