Women's Basketball end-of-season teams and awards announced

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio --- College Sports Communicators and the River States Conference both recently announced end-of-season awards for women's basketball.
Megan Ost and Sydney Carr earned CSC Academic All-District® honors for the Celtics.
The 2022‐23 Academic All‐District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐March.
Ost, who scored her 1,000th career point early in the season, led the Celtics by averaging a double-double 13 rebounds and 12.5 points per game. She contributed 45 blocks on the year.
Ost ranked first in the NAIA with 171 offensive rebounds this season, and landed in the top-10 in total rebounds (338) and rebounds per game.
Additionally, Ost was selected for the All-River States Conference honorable mention team for her efforts on the court this season.
Carr led the team with an average 13.7 points and 3.5 assists per game. She was second on the team only to Ost with an average 5.8 rebounds per game.
The RSC Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team had all players with a 3.25 GPA or higher who competed in women's basketball and have at least two semesters at their current school prior to this basketball season. Midway and St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) College tied for the conference lead with nine each on the scholar team.

The RSC Women's Basketball Champions of Character Team had one player from each school nominated by their head coach for best representing the NAIA's five character values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
Rylie Blair earned the Champions of Character awards for the Celtics.
