Five Softball players named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Five Carlow University softball players were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team, the association announced May 27.

GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Five Carlow University softball players were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team, the association announced May 27.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. Additionally, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. Nominations are limited to five student-athletes per institution.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 17.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Founded in the mid-1950s, the highly regarded Academic All-America® selected by College Sports Communicators program is unquestionably regarded as the premier awards program in intercollegiate athletics for honoring combined academic and athletic excellence.
