Three Softball athletes earn AMCC All-Conference honors
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Three Carlow University softball players earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors, the league announced May 13.
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Three Carlow University softball players earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors, the league announced May 13.
Junior Mackenzie Egley (Shelocta, Pa./Armstrong HS) and senior McKenna Pierce (Leechburg, Pa./Leechburg Area HS) earned All-Conference Second Team honors, and senior Megan Pollinger (Coraopolis, Pa./West Allegheny Senior HS) earned Third Team honors.
As a team, the Celtics ranked second in the conference in runs (227), hits (373), doubles (64) and RBIs (197).
Pierce led the team and ranked second in the conference with six home runs. She also led the team in on-base percentage (.442), slugging percentage (.579) and extra base hits (17), and was third on the team with 28 RBI.
Egley landed third on the team with 52 hits (10 extra base hits) and a .366 batting average. She was fourth on the team with 23 RBI, an on-base percentage of .409 and a slugging percentage of .437.
Pollinger was second on the team and ended the year ranked third in the AMCC with 35 RBI. She was also second on team with 14 extra base hits.
