Men’s Volleyball concludes season with loss to Penn State Altoona

The Lions (8-15, 6-4 AMCC) tallied 18 service aces and hit .444 on the night.
Gavin McLain (Acworth, Ga./North Paulding HS) led the Celtics with five kills. Luke Campana (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) added two solo blocks, and Jake Marryott (Springfield, Pa./Springfield HS) picked up four digs in the effort.
Penn State Altoona jumped out to an 11-2 advantage enroute to a 25-11 win in the first set. From there, the Lions held Carlow to single-digit points in the remaining two sets.
Carlow went ahead 7-4 in the second set before a service error handed the ball back to Penn State Altoona, who scored 15 unanswered points to lead, 20-7. The Lions won the second set, 25-9.
Penn State Altoona outscored Carlow 17-3 to start the third set and went on an 8-1 run to end the set and the game, 25-5.
Caleb Fries led the Lions with eight kills, and Jack McKenna recorded six service aces.
