HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer fell 7-0 to Juniata College on the road Wednesday night.
The Eagles (5-1-1) outshot the Celtics 41-1 (18-0 on goal). The loss dropped Carlow to 1-4 on the season.
Goalkeeper Dustin Harrier (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny HS) made 11 saves in the complete game effort, and Logan Alexander (Manchester Twp., N.J./Manchester Township HS) recorded the Celtics' lone shot.
Carlow held Juniata to just one goal in the first half before the Eagles returned to the pitch to tack on six more.
Juniata scored at 50' and 53' and notched back-to-back goals at 74' and 75' to go ahead 5-0. The Eagles added two more goals late in the 86th and 90th minutes.
Juniata recorded 13 corner kicks in the match, and two Eagles tallied one goal and one assist each.
Carlow hosts Alfred State College for its home- and AMCC-opener at Cupples Stadium Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
