WASHINGTON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 3-0 contest to Washington & Jefferson College in a nonconference road match Tuesday night.
The Presidents improved to 3-0-1 while the Celtics fell to 1-2.
W&J outshot Carlow 20-4 (11-2 on goal) and held a 5-3 corner kick advantage.
The Presidents went ahead later in the first half with back-to-back goals in the 36th minute. Ethan Bowser found Jimmy Gogol to land the first, and Jonathan Barahona scored an unassisted goal 37 seconds later that put W&J ahead, 2-0, heading into halftime.
Carlow held W&J scoreless for 50 minutes before an unassisted goal by Jacek Piekut gave the Presidents a 3-0 advantage at 86'.
Carlow goalkeeper Dustin Harrier (North Versailles, Pa./East Allegheny HS) made six saves in the complete game effort.
The Celtics return to the pitch with an 8 p.m. match at Waynesburg University Sept. 16.
