Men’s Soccer lands ninth on AMCC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

LATROBE, Pa. --- The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced Carlow University men's soccer ranked ninth in the 2025 Coaches' Preseason Poll Aug. 25.
The Celtics ended the 2024 campaign 3-13 overall and 0-8 in conference action, finishing ninth in the regular season standings.
Fifth year Head Coach Allen Duda selected sophomore forward Hunter Brady (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York HS) and senior midfielder/defender Eric Fowler (Torrington, Conn./Wamogo Regional HS/Roger Williams Univ.) as players to watch this season.
Brady led the team in goals (4) and total points (11) as a first-year athlete last season and earned USCAA All-American Honorable Mention.
As a defender, Fowler was second on the team with three goals and played a pivotal role in Carlow's back line.
The league selected defending champion Penn State Behrend first in the preseason poll, followed by Mount Aloysius College in second place. Alfred State College rounded out the top three for the second year in a row.
The AMCC tabbed Alfred State senior midfielder Henry Leahy as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and Penn State Behrend sophomore goalkeeper Anthony Scalise as the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
