Schwirian races to first USCAA Runner of the Week award

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women’s cross country runner Laci Schwirian was named the USCAA Runner of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's cross country runner Laci Schwirian was named the USCAA Runner of the Week, the association announced Tuesday.

Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) led the Celtics with a personal best 21:23 to place first overall at the La Roche University Invitational Oct. 17.

It was the third meet in a row Carlow finished first as a team this season.

The Celtics compete at the AMCC Championship Nov. 1.
