Women’s Cross Country begins 2025 season with second place finish at WCCC

Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) and Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) placed fourth and fifth to lead the Celtics with times of 22:13.0 and 22:27.9, respectively. Schwirian's time was a personal best for the 5k race.
Mackenna Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) rounded out the top-10 scores with an eighth place finish in 23:37.5, and Ava Widmyer (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex HS) completed her first collegiate race with the team.
Cassidy Cumberledge helped lead Potomac State College to a first place team finish with an individual first place time of 21:14.1.
The Celtics return to action Sept. 5 at the La Roche University Dual Meet.
