Women's Cross Country competes at Allegheny College Classic

MEADVILLE, Pa. --- Carlow University women's cross country competed at the Allegheny College Classic Saturday.

MEADVILLE, Pa. --- Carlow University women's cross country competed at the Allegheny College Classic Saturday.

Seven teams from NCAA DII, DIII and NAIA schools brought 78 runners to the course.

Laci Schwirian led the Celtics with a 22:16 finish to place 53^rd.

Molly Wagner, Leia Day and Malina Hall also represented Carlow in the race.

Carlow did not score as a team since only four runners competed.

Freshman Ruthie Hughes took first place individually to lead Slippery Rock University to a first place team finish.

The Celtics travel to Penn State Fayette for a race Sept. 24.
