Taylor named USCAA All-American, six Women’s Track & Field athletes earn All-Academic honors
INDIANA, Pa. --- Carlow University women’s track & field athlete Sydney Taylor earned USCAA All-American honors, and six athletes were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced April 28.
INDIANA, Pa. --- Carlow University women's track & field athlete Sydney Taylor earned USCAA All-American honors, and six athletes were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced April 28.
Taylor, a junior from Castle Shannon, Pa., secured two medals for the Celtics at the USCAA Championship April 25 – a gold medal leap of 10.91 meters in triple jump and a personal best 5.29 meters in long jump that earned her silver. Taylor has won gold in triple jump at the championship for the past three years.
She earned First Team All-American in triple jump and Second Team All-American in long jump.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher.
