Two Women’s Track & Field athletes earn USCAA Athlete of the Week honors

PITTSBURGH --- Two Carlow University women’s track & field athletes earned USCAA Athlete of the Week honors, the association announced March 31.

THROWER | JUMPER

PITTSBURGH --- Two Carlow University women's track & field athletes earned USCAA Athlete of the Week honors, the association announced March 31.

Julia Ogrodowski (Fredericktown, Pa./Bethlehem Center HS) and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) earned Thrower and Jumper of the Week, respectively, after their performances at the Muskingum University Amy Adams Memorial Invitational March 28.

Ogrodowski placed second in javelin with a throw of 21.17 meters. She also threw a personal best 9.97 meters to place eighth in shot put.

Taylor landed a 10.75-meter leap in triple jump to place third and placed fourth in long jump with a distance of 4.85 meters.

The Celtics return to action at the Westminster Invitational April 10.
