Women’s Track & Field places fourth overall with 17 top-10 finishes at United East Conference Championship
WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Carlow University women’s track & field placed fourth at the United East Conference Championship, hosted by Gallaudet University May 3-4.

The Celtics scored 93 points with 17 top-10 finishes on the weekend.
Two Celtics earned additional awards beyond the podium.
Molly Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS) was named the Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year after earning 25 points for the Celtics on the weekend. Wagner was part of both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams that each earned first place, and she also placed first in the 100 and 200.
Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) was named the Elite 21 Award winner. This award (created in 2022-23) is presented to the student-athlete who holds the highest GPA on a team that finishes in the top four of the team standings. This student-athlete does not have to be a starter or significant player for the program, but they must be a member of the current roster that is competing in the Conference Championship. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and in their second year of competition at their current institution.
Cloak was also part of both first place relay teams, with the 4x400 team securing the second best time in the Carlow record books with a 4:13.97 finish. She also earned top-10 finishes in the 100 and 200.
Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) took second place in both the long jump and triple jump, with personal best performances in both. Her triple jump leap of 10.76 meters is fourth best in the Carlow record books, and her long jump of 5.16 meters is seventh best. Taylor also ran a leg of both relay teams.
Trista Miller (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan HS) competed on both relay teams and placed second and fourth in the 200 and 100, respectively.
Leia Day (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell HS) earned a podium spot with a third place jump of 1.39 meters in high jump and placed fourth in both long jump and triple jump.
In the field, Julia Ogrodowski (Fredericktown, Pa./Bethlehem Center HS) earned top-10 finishes in shot put, discus and landed a personal best throw in javelin, and Ashley Ealy (West Alexander, Pa./McGuffey HS) threw a personal best in shot put.
St. Mary's College of Maryland took home the team trophy with 225 points.
