Wagner earns third straight United East Athlete of the Week honor

LATHAM, N.Y. --- Carlow University women's track & field athlete Molly Wagner earned United East Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
It is the third time in a row and the sixth time this season Wagner has earned the distinction.
Wagner once again led the Celtics with two top-10 finishes at the Slippery Rock University Dave Labor Invitational Saturday. In the 100 preliminaries, she was just 15 tenths of a second from tying her own school record she set on April 6, 2022. She placed seventh in the event with a time of 12.73. She ran 1:00.74 to place sixth in the 400 and was part of the 4x100 relay team of Trista Miller, Sydney Taylor and Ella Cloak that placed sixth with a time of 50.63. She placed 13th in the 200 with a 26.17 finish.
The Celtics travel to Westminster College for a meet April 12.
