Women’s Track & Field sweeps USCAA Player of the Week honors

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's indoor track & field swept United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.
Molly Wagner (Pleasant Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson HS), Mya Waage (Trinity, Fla./J. W. Mitchell HS) and Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) earned Runner, Thrower and Jumper of the Week honors, respectively.
Wagner earned two top-10 finishes in the 200 and 100 at the WVU Marty Pushkin Invitational Saturday. In the 200, she placed seventh with a time of 26.91, and in the 100 she placed ninth with a time of 12.98. Wagner was also part of the 4x100 relay team that placed fourth with a time of 51.86.
Waage threw the fifth best distance in the school record books (third best personally) in discus with a 15th place toss of 29.55 meters, and Taylor leapt 4.49 meters to place 13th in long jump for the Celtics. Taylor was also part of the fourth place 4x100 relay team.
Carlow competes at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational March 28 and 29.
