Cloak earns second Elite 21 Award from United East Conference

LATHAM, N. Y. --- Carlow University women's indoor track & field athlete Ella Cloak earned the United East Conference Elite 21 Award, the league announced March 10.
It is the second year in a row Cloak, a senior from New Cumberland, Pa., earned the distinction. Last year, she was honored during the outdoor season.
This award – created in 2022-23 – is given to the student-athlete who holds the highest GPA on a team that finishes in the top four of the team standings (for individual sports). This student-athlete does not have to be a starter or significant player for the program, but they must be a member of the current roster that is competing in the Conference tournament or the Championship site.
The student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and in his or her second year of competition at their current institution in any sport.
If two or more student-athletes have the exact same GPAs, the honor is awarded to the student-athlete who has a higher number of completed credit hours.
