Eight top-10 finishes and a school record broken by Women’s Track & Field at Oberlin
OBERLIN, Ohio --- Carlow University women’s track & field secured eight top-10 spots at the Oberlin College Crimson & Gold Invitational Friday evening.
OBERLIN, Ohio --- Carlow University women's track & field secured eight top-10 spots at the Oberlin College Crimson & Gold Invitational Friday evening.
The Celtics competed against five other colleges and universities at the Heisman Field House.
Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) landed two first place spots in long jump and triple jump. Her leap of 10.50 meters was just 16 tenths shy of her personal best indoor triple jump. Taylor secured first in long jump with a distance of 4.91 meters.
Ashley Ealy (West Alexander, Pa./McGuffey HS) broke the school record in weight throw with a 13th place finish of 8.93 meters. She tied her Jan. 31 indoor personal best throw and placed eighth in shot put with a toss of 9.07 meters.
Ella Cloak (New Cumberland, Pa./Trinity HS) placed second in the 800 with a time of 2:40.02, while Mackenna Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) and Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) each recorded top-10 finishes in the mile and 3,000.
The Celtics travel to Muskingum University for the Muskie Meet #4 Feb. 20.
