Women’s Track & Field achieves several personal bests at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio --- Carlow University women's track & field traveled to the University of Mount Union Jim Wuske Invitational Saturday.

The Celtics competed against 10 other colleges and universities.

Mackenna Rankin (New Bethlehem, Pa./Redbank Valley HS) ran a personal best indoor time of 22:39.77 in the 5,000-meter race to place fifth overall. Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS) placed sixth with a time of 23:50.30.

Sydney Taylor (Castle Shannon, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS) leapt to the fourth best indoor triple jump of her career with a distance of 10.35 meters to place sixth and placed ninth in long jump with a distance of 4.89 meters.

Ashley Ealy (West Alexander, Pa./McGuffey H) threw a personal best 9.07 meters in shot put.

The Celtics travel to the Oberlin Dan Kinsey Invitational Feb. 6.
