Hernandez earns AMCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University sophomore Sofia Hernandez earned AMCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University sophomore Sofia Hernandez earned AMCC Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

Hernandez (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway HS), who had three singles and two doubles wins, led the Celtics to a 3-0 week.

She went 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play on the week. In conference action, Hernandez swept both doubles and singles matches against Mount Aloysius and La Roche.

The Celtics travel to Penn State Behrend for a 1 p.m. match Oct. 5.
