Tennis concludes season with match at Mount Aloysius
CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University tennis concluded the 2023 season with a 7-2 loss to Mount Aloysius College on the road Saturday.
CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University tennis concluded the 2023 season with a 7-2 loss to Mount Aloysius College on the road Saturday.
The Mounties (5-8) swept the Celtics (0-6) in doubles, but two Carlow athletes scored points in their respective singles matches.
Karissa Miller won her first match of the season in the No. 1 singles spot, defeating Kendra Sines, 6-3 and 6-1.
Josephine Kobak took her No. 4 singles match to a tiebreak, winning the first set, 6-3, before falling in the second set, 6-3. Kobak came up with the win after a 10-7 tiebreak game.
Every athlete won at least one game in their respective sets on the day.
The Celtics were down a player and had to forfeit the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles spots.
