Three Women’s Soccer players named USCAA All-Americans, seven earn All-Academic honors
PITTSBURGH --- Three Carlow University women's soccer players earned USCAA All-American honors and five were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced Nov. 13.
PITTSBURGH --- Three Carlow University women's soccer players earned USCAA All-American honors and five were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced Nov. 13.
Elizabeth Knight (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) and Jenna McGuinness (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS) earned Second Team honors, and Arley Wilson (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville Area HS) earned Honorable Mention.
Knight led the USCAA with 148 saves and played almost every single minute in goal for the Celtics this season. McGuinness led Carlow with two goals in 11 games played this season, and Wilson started every game for the Celtics. As a captain and a defender, Wilson was a leader on the back line for Carlow all year. Last season, McGuinness and Wilson were First Team honorees.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher.
