WAYNESBURG, Pa. --- Carlow University women's soccer lost a 6-0 contest to Waynesburg University on the road Tuesday night.
The Yellow Jackets (6-1) scored five goals in the first half and held the Celtics (0-4) to just one shot on the night.
Elizabeth Knight (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin HS) made 19 saves in the complete game effort.
Waynesburg scored its first goal in the ninth minute, and two more back-to-back in the 12th minute to go ahead, 3-0. Twenty-two minutes later, the Yellow Jackets scored again and tacked on another goal at 40' before halftime.
Waynesburg scored its final goal of the night at 66', and although the Celtics held them scoreless the remainder of the game, the damage was done.
The Yellow Jackets tallied 15 corner kicks on the night.
Julz Mohrbacher recorded two goals and Miracle Hershey contributed two assists.
Carlow travels to Allegheny College for a 1 p.m. match Sept. 20.
