Women’s Golf improves scores on second day of Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic

Maci Lorigan (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) led the Celtics on the day with an 89, improving her first day score by five strokes behind seven pars. She tied for seventh out of 27 golfers in the two-day event.
Jena Norman (McCandless, Pa./North Allegheny Senior HS) shot the best round of her collegiate career with a 97, improving on her first day score by 12 strokes. Her two-day score landed her in 18th place overall.
Lilli Hope (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS) carded a 100 to place 16th overall, improving her game by four strokes by consistently hitting fairways throughout the course.
Dew covered fairways made for sticky landings, but fast greens kept all golfers on their toes.
St. Vincent's Lucy Brayton earned first place with a two-day score of 158 to help lead the Bearcats to the overall team trophy with a score of 731.
The Celtics travel to compete in the Susquehanna Fall Invitational Sept. 13.
