Women’s Golf tees off fall season at Sinking Valley Collegiate Classic

Maci Lorigan (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong HS) birdied on hole three and hit two par on the back nine of the 5,605-yard course to lead the Celtics with a 94 on the day.
Lilli Hope (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin HS) hit two pars on both the front and back nine and did well chipping throughout the day to card a 104. Jena Norman (McCandless, Pa./North Allegheny Senior HS) rounded out individual scoring for Carlow with a 109.
Breezy conditions and fast greens seemed to give many golfers trouble throughout the day, with an average score of 102.81 for the round.
St. Vincent College shot a team score of 362, led by Lucy Brayton who shot six over.
The Celtics are up for a 9 a.m. tee time at Sinking Valley for the second round of the Classic tomorrow.
