Schumacher named AMCC Pitcher of the Week

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Carlow University softball player Anna Schumacher earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.
Schumacher, a first-year athlete from Pittsburgh, Pa., went 2-0 in the circle to go along with a save on the week, while not allowing a run in 8.1 innings of work.
She struck out three of Hilbert's five batters she faced to keep the game tied, allowing the Celtics to win in a 4-3 walk-off April 12.
The Celtics travel to Penn State Behrend for a 3 p.m. AMCC doubleheader Thursday.
