Pollinger tabbed as USCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University sophomore Megan Pollinger earned USCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week honors, the association announced Tuesday.

In three appearances, Pollinger allowed four runs (two earned) on 13 hits and struck out five in 10.1 innings of work. She walked two and posted a 1.35 ERA. Additionally, Pollinger helped her cause at the plate, going 4 for 11 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. She hit .364 with a slugging percentage of .455.

The Celtics host WVU Tech to open River States Conference action Saturday, March 18 at 2:15 p.m. at West Field in Munhall.
