Three top 10 finishes for Men’s Cross Country at Mount Aloysius
CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University men’s cross country placed three runners in the top 10 at the Mount Aloysius College Mountie Invitational Saturday morning.
CRESSON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's cross country placed three runners in the top 10 at the Mount Aloysius College Mountie Invitational Saturday morning.
The Celtics were the only full team represented at the meet, and as a result scored a first place finish.
Jimmy Giannetta (Pittsburgh, Pa./Saint Joseph HS) led Carlow with a second place time of 19:23.80 in the 5k race. Quincy Faña (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS) raced to a sixth place finish with a time of 22:05.50, and Tomasi Pavihi (San Anselmo, Calif./College of Marin) placed 10th in 23:26.80.
Clayton Cook (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area HS) and Gavin McLain (Acworth, Ga./North Paulding HS) rounded out scoring for the Celtics in the 19-person field.
Pitt Greensburg's David Brokaw won first place overall with a time of 18:25.70.
Up next for Carlow is the La Roche Invitational Oct. 17.
