Pokwal named USCAA All-American, three Men’s Track & Field athletes earn All-Academic honors
INDIANA, Pa. --- Carlow University men’s track & field athlete Shajit Pokwal earned USCAA All-American honors, and three athletes were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced April 28.
INDIANA, Pa. --- Carlow University men's track & field athlete Shajit Pokwal earned USCAA All-American honors, and three athletes were named to the All-Academic Team, the association announced April 28.
Pokwal, a senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., landed on the All-American Second Team with a school-record leap of 13.26 meters in triple jump. He won silver in the event at the USCAA Championship April 25.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher.
