Men’s Track & Field breaks school records and personal bests at USCAA National Championship
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Every single Carlow University men’s track & field athlete placed in the top-15 at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship April 26.
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- Every single Carlow University men's track & field athlete placed in the top-15 at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship April 26.
The Celtics secured three podium spots and placed 13th overall with 27 points.
Caleb Rogers (Clark, Pa./Sharpsville Area HS) broke the school record in shot put with a first place throw of 11.81 meters.
Mel Cobbler (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein HS/Morgan State University) raced to third place in the 110-meter hurdles with a school record time of 16.17. He placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with the second best time in school history of 1:00.34.
Jordan Cannon (Cleveland, Ohio/Lutheran East) placed sixth in high jump with a leap of 1.70 meters, the fourth best height in the school record books, and Ryan Hileman (Irwin, Pa./Norwin HS) ran a personal best time of 17.65 in the 110-meter hurdles preliminaries.
SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry took home the team trophy with 119 points.
Up next for Carlow is the United East Conference Championship in Washington, D.C. May 3 and 4.
