Cobbler earns first United East Track Athlete of the Week honor
LATHAM, N.Y. --- Carlow University hurdler Mel Cobbler earned United East Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.

LATHAM, N.Y. --- Carlow University hurdler Mel Cobbler earned United East Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Cobbler, a sophomore from Silver Spring, Md., broke Bryan Pan's record of 17.50 from April 27, 2024 in the 110-meter hurdles. Cobbler ran a personal best time of 16.51 in the event for a fifth place finish and landed a personal best 24.04 in the 200 at the Westminster College Invitational Saturday.
This is Cobbler's first time being named Athlete of the Week of his career.
