Men’s Soccer defeats Penn State Scranton in nonconference road match
SCRANTON, Pa. --- Carlow University men’s soccer snapped a seven game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Penn State Scranton on the road Sunday afternoon.

SCRANTON, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer snapped a seven game losing streak with a 4-1 win over Penn State Scranton on the road Sunday afternoon.
The Celtics (2-8) landed 14 shots on goal to the Lions' five.
Blake Emge (Waynesboro, Pa./Pitt Johnstown) scored a brace for Carlow, recording his first goal at 22' that tied the game, 1-1.
Logan Punako (Johnstown, Pa./Richland HS) put Carlow up 2-1 with a goal right before halftime, and Emge tallied his second goal of the day in the 62nd minute.
Eric Fowler (Torrington, Conn./Wamogo Regional HS) scored his third goal in as many games in the 69th minute to give Carlow some breathing room with a 4-1 lead.
Goalkeeper John Rummel (Price, Utah/Utah State Univ. Eastern) made four saves in the complete game effort, and Carlow held a 5-3 corner kick advantage.
The Celtics host Mount Aloysius College for a 5 p.m. AMCC match Oct. 14. It is Carlow's "Kick Cancer" night, and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
