LATROBE, Pa. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost, 5-0, to Saint Vincent College on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats (1-0-2) outshot the Celtics 24-1 (11-1 on goal) on the day, scoring four of their five goals in the first half.
Connor Smith (Washington, Pa./Trinity HS) put Carlow's lone shot on target in the 83rd minute.
Saint Vincent scored four goals in the first 25 minutes of action, with Cameron Mulvanny notching two at 5' and 24'. The Bearcats added their final tally in the 53rd minute.
Alex Remington (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) suffered the loss in goal with two saves in the first half. Zac Kolich (Enon Valley, Pa./Blackhawk HS/Pittsburgh Technical College) recorded four saves in the second half.
Saint Vincent held an 8-1 corner kick advantage.
Carlow returns to the pitch Sept. 10 with a 4 p.m. match against visiting Penn State Beaver at Highmark Stadium.
