Alfred State scores four goals in second half to defeat Men’s Soccer on Senior Night
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men’s soccer lost a 5-1 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match to Alfred State College at Highmark Stadium Saturday night.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's soccer lost a 5-1 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match to Alfred State College at Highmark Stadium Saturday night.
Prior to the start of the game, the Celtics celebrated 10 seniors for Senior Night.

Graduate student Zion Graf scored his first collegiate goal, an unassisted shot at 25' to put the Celtics (1-9-1, 0-4 AMCC) on the board first.
The Pioneers (11-2, 4-1 AMCC), however, tied it up less than a minute later when Andres Mateos found Nuri Sarbudak with a long pass.
The teams remained deadlocked at 1-1 heading into halftime, but Alfred State returned with renewed energy in the second half.
Twenty minutes into the half, the Pioneers scored three goals in a row at 60', 66' and 68' to take a 4-1 lead over the Celtics.
Alfred State knocked in its final goal at 77' to close the game.
Goalkeeper Kevin Garcia made 18 stops against a barrage of 23 shots in the complete game effort.
The Pioneers out-shot the Celtics, 42-5 (23-2 on goal) and held a 9-2 corner kick advantage.
Carlow travels to La Roche for a 3 p.m. AMCC game Oct. 10.
