Smith, Campana named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT® TEAM

GREENWOOD, Ind. --- One Carlow University men's golfer and one men's volleyball player were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Team, the association announced June 17.

To be eligible, student-athletes must be sophomores or above with at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. For men's golf, student-athletes must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament. For men's volleyball, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Nominations are limited to six student-athletes per institution.

The following student-athletes met or exceeded the criteria to earn the distinction:

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field/court and in the classroom.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Founded in the mid-1950s, the highly regarded Academic All-America® selected by College Sports Communicators program is unquestionably regarded as the premier awards program in intercollegiate athletics for honoring combined academic and athletic excellence.
