Gaskins earns second USCAA Men’s Basketball Division I Player of the Week award

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men’s basketball guard Byron Gaskins earned his second USCAA Division I Player of the Week honor, the association announced Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University men's basketball guard Byron Gaskins earned his second USCAA Division I Player of the Week honor, the association announced Tuesday.

Gaskins, a sophomore from Woodbridge, Va., averaged 23 points per game in two contests last week.

He tallied 26 in an 84-76 loss to Alfred State Jan. 13 and 20 in a 98-92 overtime loss at Penn State Altoona.

Gaskins shot 90 percent from the foul line and recorded nine steals, seven assists and 12 rebounds.

The Celtics host La Roche University for a 7 p.m. game this evening.
