Hunter DeStefano earned CSC Academic All-District® honors for the Celtics.
The 2022‐23 Academic All‐District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐March.
DeStefano started in 14 games and appeared in all 28 games for the Celtics this season, maintaining over a 3.50 GPA in the rigorous Carlow University nursing program.
The RSC Scholar-Athlete Team includes players with a 3.25 GPA or higher who play the sport of men's basketball and have been at their current school at least two semesters prior to this season. Midway (Ky.) University led the conference with seven team members named to the scholar team.

The RSC Champions of Character Team includes one member of each team nominated by their coach for best displaying the NAIA's five character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship. Jordan McClure earned the Champions of Character award for the Celtics.
