The Celtics are gearing up for Conference play that begins on Tuesday, February 3 — with matches streamed live on twitch.tv/carlowesports.
The offseason saw slight roster changes for the Celtics. Veteran competitor Elizabeth Knight graduated from the program, leaving a gap in leadership and experience on the roster. In her place, John Rummel stepped in as the team's alternate, ready to contribute as the spring season unfolds.
Carlow participated in three National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) preseason placement matches on Jan. 27 going 2-1 in overall match play:
- Carlow Celtics - 2 | University of Florida Gators - 0
-
- Carlow shut out the Gators in impressive fashion to start the evening
- Carlow Celtics - 0 | Seton Hill Griffins - 2
-
- Seton Hill finished on top of the group, going undefeated while handing the Celtics a 2-0 loss
- Carlow Celtics - 2 | Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Eagles - 1
