Rocket League Purple falls to Hagerstown in three games

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University Rocket League Purple (1-6) fell 3-0 to Hagerstown Community College (7-0) March 15.
Game 1
The undefeated Hagerstown Hawks scored the first goal at 4:30.
Elizabeth Knight produced a huge save at 4:06 and AJ Nguyen made two saves at 3:56 and 3:45, but the Hawks were able to penetrate the Celtics' defense for their second goal.
HCC found their third and fourth goals at 2:31 and 2:16 to go up 4-0.
With 1:18 left HCC was able to finish a trio of aerial goals in quick fashion to extend the lead to 7-0.
The Hawks were able to knock two more past Carlow to finish game one 9-0.
Game 2
Carlow held off the Hagerstown attack until 4:11 when they put two quick shots in to go up 2-0.
Nguyen was applying heavy pressure and forced a turnover to score on a laser of a shot to bring the score to 2-1 in favor of HCC.
At 3:14 the Hawks scored on an aerial goal and then immediately again from the kickoff to extend their lead to 4-1.
Nguyen and Alena Hemminger combined for some offensive pressure when HCC scored on a counter at 2:28 to go up 5-1.
The Hawks finished two more goals around the 1:00 mark to take the lead to 7-1 which was the final score.
Game 3
Nguyen scored immediately on the opening kickoff to stake Carlow a 1-0 lead with 4:58 on the clock.
HCC equalized 1-1 with an aerial goal at 4:20 and padded that lead with another goal at 3:01 to make the score 3-1.
Nguyen found the net once more to bring Carlow within one with 38 seconds left on the clock and the score at 3-2.
Knight drew the Celtics even with another goal at 0:22 making the score 3-3 all.
HCC responded to go up 4-3 with just 13 seconds left to deny an overtime period and close out the match victory.
