PITTSBURGH --- The Carlow University Department of Athletics is excited to announce Kali Aughenbaugh as the head coach for Men's and Women's Tennis.
Aughenbaugh is a full-time enrollment counselor at Carlow and graduated with a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Management from the University in May.
"Kali demonstrated her coaching acumen and commitment to Carlow Athletics during her time as the men's tennis assistant coach this spring," Director of Athletics Karina Graziani said. "She shows the initiative to continue elevating the profile of both programs."
Aughenbaugh began her tennis career early and placed in the district tournament in high school. She competed on the varsity team at NCAA Division II Clarion University, where she also served as the social committee chair for the team and was a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative. Aughenbaugh is also a member of the Tennis League Network.
"She proved her coaching abilities during her time on the court this spring," Assistant Director of Athletics and former Men's Tennis Head Coach Allen Duda said. "The student-athletes responded well to her instruction and feedback, and I believe she will lead both teams successfully."
Aughenbaugh will be responsible for all aspects of running both the men's and women's tennis programs including recruiting, practice planning and scheduling.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to get started," Aughenbaugh said. "We have a great group of student-athletes, and I'm excited to help them grow both on and off the court."
