Graziani appointed Carlow University Director of Athletics

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University recently announced the appointment of Karina Graziani as the Director of Athletics, effective April 1.
"After careful evaluation, I believe Karina offers the leadership skill, determination and acumen necessary to lead the Athletics program forward," said Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Timothy Phillips. "Karina has earned the confidence of department staff and will receive strong support from Allen Duda (Assistant Director), Dave Gordon (Progress and Compliance Coordinator), Julie Gaul (Senior Woman Administrator) and James Rice (Facilities & Intramurals)."
In addition to her sports communications duties, Graziani served in the interim director role since October.
"I am humbled and honored to accept this position, and I want to thank Dr. Tim Phillips and all of my coaching staff for their support," Graziani said. "I look forward to continuing our journey to full NCAA Division III membership, and I am devoted to the success of our student-athletes."
Graziani joined the staff as the part-time Sports Information Director in the Fall of 2018. She was hired full-time in February 2019 and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Communications in July 2021.
She oversaw the design and implementation of a new Athletics website for Carlow that launched prior to the 2020 season, and was named River States Conference SID of the Year for the 2020-21 season.
Graziani earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Waynesburg University (2009) and a Master of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication from Point Park University (2013).
