Seven Carlow student-athletes named to All-AMCC Fall Sportsmanship Team
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Seven Carlow University student-athletes earned a spot on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Fall Sportsmanship Team, the league announced Dec. 12.
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. --- Seven Carlow University student-athletes earned a spot on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Fall Sportsmanship Team, the league announced Dec. 12.
All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship selected one member from their team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team. These individuals were nominated by their teammates.
The student-athlete selected must consistently demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct, respect and fair play in both practice and competition, whether on the sidelines or as an active competitor. Such sportsmanship shall be evident toward teammates, coaches, opponents, officials and fans. They must also serve as a positive representative of school spirit when a spectator at other teams' sporting events.
Below are the honorees for the Celtics:
- Women's Volleyball: Sophomore defensive specialist/libero Taylor Eannace (Coraopolis, Pa./West Allegheny HS)
- Men's Golf: Junior Christian Rotundo (Thorold, Ontario, Canada/Denis Morris Catholic Secondary School)
- Women's Cross Country: Junior Laci Schwirian (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward HS)
- Men's Cross Country: Junior Quincy Fana (Glenshaw, Pa./Shaler Area HS)
- Women's Tennis: Junior Julia Piatt (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks HS)
- Men's Soccer: Junior midfielder Francis Bochicchio (Pittsburgh, Pa./Bishop Canevin HS)
- Women's Soccer: Sophomore forward Anna Gribik (Clarion, Pa./Clarion Area HS)
